Hello, 7 Archipelagos!

Why “7 Archipelagos,” I get asked. Think about it… isn’t the world just a collection of islands? I grew up on an archipelago, among 7,000 islands to be more or less exact, and I always saw borders as being porous.

Today, I live between two countries, 8,000 miles apart, and I like to linger in the places in between. Over two decades, I have soaked up cultures, cuisines, landscapes, and lifestyles different from my own. I am infinitely better for having seen and experienced much of the world, both for my personal growth and my professional advancement. As both a travel writer and a travel planner, I am passionate about seeking out how we are more similar than different. Seven archipelagos, one world.
